Product art illustrations, photography, data sheets, and descriptive copy for peripherals and printers not listed here are available in the Product Components section of AMTK. You will find materials for Apple PowerBook 145B, Newton MessagePad, StyleWriter II, Personal LaserWriter 300, AppleDesign Powered Speakers, AppleCD 300, Apple PowerCD, and AppleCD Multimedia Kit. You will also find the logo materials that you need to identify yourself as an Authorized Apple Reseller.

  62. *NOTE* When using these materials in your advertising efforts, it is important to remember the following:
  63. • All advertising content must conform to the Apple Computer, Inc. name and logo requirements, as well as the trademark and credit line requirements.
  64. • All advertising must contain prominent visual identification as an "Authorized Reseller" location.

  67. GETTING STARTED
  68. *NOTE* You cannot work directly from the Apple Media ToolKit CD-ROM. You will need to copy the materials you wish to use to your hard drive. If you do not already have the applications and fonts listed below, you will need to install them on your hard drive before using the materials contained in this folder. For your convenience, we have included them on Apple Media ToolKit.

  70. The following applications and fonts are included in the Getting Started folder. To install:

  72. Aldus PageMaker 4.2
  73. • Drag the Aldus PageMaker 4.2 folder into your applications folder on your hard drive.

  75. TeachText
  76. • Drag the TeachText icon into your applications folder on your hard drive.
  77.  
  78. Apple Garamond and Helvetica fonts
  79. • Open the fonts folder, and place the fonts into your current fonts folder.

  82. USING THE MATERIALS
  83. • Data Sheets, Copy Blocks and Ad Slicks are PageMaker 4.2 documents. They can either be opened at the Finder level or copied to the hard drive. The other materials we’ve included in this folder can be placed into your own layouts to help create effective advertising and marketing materials.

  85. PLACING MATERIALS
  86. • Select the files you wish to use from the Photography, Screen Shots, Logos, and   Product Art folders on this CD-ROM. Copy the desired files to your hard drive.
  87. • Open Aldus PageMaker 4.2.*
  88. • Go to the File menu and select "Place."
  89. • Locate the desired file on your hard drive and click "OK."

  91. *When opening PageMaker 4.2 for the first time, it will request that you locate the PM4.2 RSRC file.  This file is located in the Aldus folder within the Aldus PageMaker 4.2 application folder.
